Electrical Safety Awareness Survey
Your participation is anticipated! We’ve partnered with UtilityPulse to ask six questions about electrical safety online survey (in the form of a quiz) that tests your knowledge about what to do in a potentially hazardous electrical situation. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete. The survey results provide you with the correct information to help you make informed decisions when it comes to the safety of you, your family and neighbours.

In the event of a mail delivery disruption, Atikokan Hydro’s customers are responsible for retrieving bills and keeping accounts current.
Please consider:
- Sign up for “eBilling” (paperless billing) by visiting our website www.athydro.com. To sign up you need your 4-digit meter number from the second page of your bill. Enter the meter number as AH and a space, followed by the 4 digits of your meter number.
- Sign up for preauthorized payment
- Pay in person at our office

About Atikokan Hydro Inc
The Hydro Electric Commission of the Township of Atikokan was originally formed in 1956 when the Township of Atikokan purchased the distribution system from Ontario Hydro. Since then it has evolved into Atikokan Hydro Inc.
In 2000 Atikokan Hydro Inc became incorporated. The assets and operations of the former commission were transferred to the new corporation on October 31, 2002.
Distribution of Electricity
Atikokan Hydro Inc. will continue to be the distributor of electricity to all customers in our service area. We will continue to manage the distribution system in a manner to deliver safe reliable electricity to our customers.
Tree Trimming
AHI will trim or remove trees that may come in contact with electrical wires. If you have a tree that you are concerned about, come to the office and sign a waiver form. We will investigate the situation, and schedule the trimming / removal.
Cable Locates
Call Before You Dig. Contact Ontario One Call 5 days before you plan to dig. Atikokan Hydro will provide the locate request at no charge within 5 working days of the request.
