Ontario Energy Support Program (OESP)
The Ontario Electricity Support Program helps reduce electricity bills for low-income households with a monthly on-bill credit. This is a provincial program administered by the Ontario Energy Board. The amount of the credit will depend on how many people live in your house and your combined household income. If your home is electrically heated or you rely on medical devices, OESP offers a higher level of assistance. First Nations or Metis will also qualify for a higher level of assistance.
For example:
- If you have 1 occupant living in your home and an annual income below $28,000 you will be eligible to receive $45 per month
